Given the product and the brand it made sense and was a nice way of saying thank you for following without saying, "Thank you for following! When someone sends me one, I never click on it and in fact, in most cases I revert to stop following the person. I don't think it's effective at all and more annoying than anything. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Instead I sit back and wait for opportunities to connect over a common interest or a shared tweet of interest. I need to add another design failure to the situation. I was also at the Hollywood and Highland complex for a wrap party a few weeks ago, but I was on the 5th floor at The Highlands. Although the logo of The Highlands seemed sufficient,  I found getting there a headache. Since I work close to the complex, this is not news to me, but that just magnifies my point - I know the area fairly well, yet I found myself getting lost trying to get to the club. I've never shot B&amp;amp;W Polaroids before. Will be interesting to play around with once it comes out (if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get my hands on it). I think they will shoot themselves in the foot with this type of backwards thinking. AT&amp;amp;T will definitely steal the show with their new UVerse fiber capabilities. Fiber to your block, copper to your house gives you get a 25 megabit connection to your home and at incredibly competitive price points. I'm still paying 35/mo to Time Waner and some how achieving 20Mbps download. &lt;br&gt;I think the issue they are perhaps trying to address is precisely that of users downloading apps and programs, music and films; it is these 'illegal' downloads that not only quickly use up a GB allowance, but also clog the bandwidth for other users. That's probably their point of view.
&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;However, you nailed it in pointing out the backwards step; providers should be moving towards the direction of realizing public need and the characteristics of social internet useage, then adapting the system to improve useability, not adapting the price to beef up their own pockets.

I really like what you said about analyzing your own preferences as a reader when considering what to tweet about. It could be made into a kind of Twitter Golden Rule: Tweet others as you would like to be Tweeted. :)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;It'll be interesting to see how everything pans out once the hype dies down a little bit. And it has all been a learning experience. As time went it on, I quickly learned that it's not about the number of followers/followies but the quality. Also, I am learning more and more how to stay relevant and interesting to my readers and how to grab new readers.  The most helpful thing to do, is to think analyze one's own behavior on twitter. What attracts you, what keeps you reading? etc.
